The Global South-South Development Expo (GSSD Expo) is designed to enable developing countries and their development partners, including donor agencies, organizations of the United Nations (UN) system, and private-sector and civil society organizations to systematically and regularly showcase their evidence-based South-South Development Solutions (SSDSs).

These solutions will be coordinated and facilitated by the Special Program for South-South Cooperation in United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as the 2nd Global South-South Development Expo which will be held from 14-17 December 2009 in Washington DC, USA.

As part of the programme, three segments feature Solutions Exchange Forums focusing the themes of food security, climate change and global health challenges.

Specifically on the theme of health, the "Forum Global Health Challenges and South-South and Triangular Responses and Solutions" is organized and promoted by Pan American Health Organization / World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) and will feature cases presentations relevant to one the area.

BIREME/PAHO/WHO, as a specialized center of PAHO in the field of health sciences information, will participate in the Forum presenting the exhibition "Networking South Knowledge - VHL, SciELO and ePORTUGUÊSe networks" which is also available online through this website.
